First Vision 218 meeting

Come join our first VISION218 meeting at 1:00 pm in room ARTB 211.

Hello everyone,

First , we would like to thank all of you for your interest in VISION218. We are very excited to meet you all. As you may know, our mission is to create a design community, specifically graphic design, at El Camino . However, we welcome all forms of designs: architecture, fashion, media, animation, and others. We want to create a social atmosphere where we can gain more knowledge about design.

As a club we have been involved with many professional projects and we are planning to have more in the future. We also have fun outings planned; such as, exhibitions to various galleries as well as attend lectures to understand the industry of design and if you love good food this is the club for you!

We look forward  to see you all there!!

A Sad Passing of a Beloved Teacher

We are all shocked and saddened to hear that Robin Valle, one of our full time Art instructors,  passed away sometime over the weekend.  We have no details to share with you at this time but will notify you as soon as we get some information.

Robin will be truly missed by all of us.

El Camino Tweets

This semester El Camino College created a twitter account and started twittering about events and news going on around campus. This is genius! What a great way to keep a large group of people up to date in real time with current events. You can check out the ECC twitter site here. As a reminder Vision 218 also tweets useful information regarding design like tutorials, design articles, inspiration and much much more! Check us out! http://twitter.com/vision218

ECC News: Take AD 1 and rendering at the same time

Last spring there was an issue with taking rendering and AD 1 at the same time but now we changed the times and fixed that problem
So now you can take them on the same day (they always were the same day, they just overlapped) Now they will not overlap. The times
are wrong in the schedule so here are the real ones:

    *      Rendering(Spring Only) is M-W  at 9 am to 12:10pm
    *      AD 1 is M-W  at  12:30-3:30pm

Also, if you cannot take the AD 1 afternoon class there's a night class which is Tues-Thurs, 6:10pm to 9:20.
We really need to fill these classes before the school decides to cut them. So please register as soon as you can.

NOTE: Rendering is ONLY offered in the Spring semester, another class that is only offered in Spring is Art 195: Portfolio and Career planning.

If you are interested in learning more about these classes you can download the El Camino College 2008-2009 Catalog here.
